Firefighters responding to huge fireplace at downtown Toronto house – Toronto

Toronto Fire Services crews are battling a big two-alarm fireplace at a downtown house that has despatched a heavy plume of smoke into the air.

A spokesperson for the division advised International Information emergency crews have been known as to a house on Ontario Road, simply south of Gerrard Road East, at round 5:50 p.m. on Friday.

The spokesperson stated the hearth on the two-storey house resulted in flames being seen from a few blocks away.

Early experiences from the scene have been that everybody on the home made it out and there have been no quick experiences of accidents.

Toronto police closed Gerrard Road East between Sherbourne and Parliament streets in addition to Ontario Road between Gerrard Road East and Dundas Road East
