Kelowna’s Starbright Children’s Development Centre receives new playground – Okanagan

“We observed this space with a Sea-Can on it and I requested Rhonda why it was fenced off,” stated Picklyk, Starbright volunteer.

“She stated ‘We don’t personal this half’ it was a half lot that the city-owned. So I requested round and requested [Singh] what we may do to get this piece again to Starbright and get a playground on it.”

Picklyk approached town and was in a position to safe a lease for the land, and the Sea-Can was eliminated, then the duo began making cellphone calls.

“Our fundraising efforts have been quite simple, we reached out to individuals who we believed would assist our imaginative and prescient of this play space and no one has stated no to us,” stated Singh, Starbright volunteer.
